WCDF in Papua New Guinea opens hub

YLNM member, West Coast Development Foundation (WCDF) in Papua New Guinea has been campaigning against deep sea mining, deep sea tailings placement and illegal logging for over a decade, recently they opened their new Training Hub in Kono village on the west coast of New Ireland Province.

A longtime dream of WCDF founder and director, Jonathan Mesulam, the WCDF Training Hub comes equipped with a training hall, reception area, office space, kitchen and three rooms for accommodation and is fully lit with solar power. The hub is now open and ready to educate, advocate and create awareness on issues that impact the local communities of New Ireland Province.
